GETTING STARTED

Join a Ladder in 4 Quick Steps

01.

Register

Start by registering as a user on this website. You’ll need to choose a username that everybody will see, and provide an email address, so we can send you important emails such as match results. We won’t send you any marketing messages or spam.

02.

Create a team

Choose a team name that lets everybody know who you are. You can join a ladder immediately, but it’s best if you invite your parter too.

You can join the Mega Ladder in two teams if one of them is mixed.

03.

Join a ladder

Our ladder uses an ELO ranking system, which means you earn points based on the difficulty of your matches. This allows teams to quickly move to a relevant area of the ladder based on ability and outcome.

04.

Chat with us

Join the WhatsApp group to get help, schedule games, and stay in touch with the community.

WhatsApp group: Mega Ladder

If you’d like to book a ladder match, grab a court first and then post it in the group chat. You should write something like this:

❗ GAME OPEN ❗
📅 Monday 7:30pm, 90 mins
🎾 Mike and Jess (Rank 1650)
🎾 ?

01.

Challenging

Teams may arrange matches against any other team on the ladder by mutual agreement.

In addition, teams may issue an official challenge to any team positioned up to four places above or below them in the rankings.

See rules for more info.

02.

Game rules

Teams are encouraged to agree in advance on match formats and playing conditions, such as the number of sets to be played and whether star point will be used.

Where no agreement can be reached before the match commences, the standard David Lloyd box league rules will apply

03.

Activity

Be active. Teams that remain inactive for 90 consecutive days may be removed from the ladder.

If you are part of a team that withdraws from the competition, you can re-enter as part of a new team. Entries are open all season, until December.
